At the Library

I am listening to an interesting lecture at our library. Suddenly, an old man sitting near me asks, "What language is the lecturer speaking?"

"He is speaking English," I answer. "Don’t you know the language?"

"No, I don’t," he says and laughs.

"Then why are you sitting here if you don’t understand him?"

"If I go to the door, the lecturer will see that. He will think his lecture is not interesting. I don’t think he will be very happy then. So I’d better wait."
