A Carpet of Many Colors

England is a small country. Every town in England is close to the sea, and many families like to spend their summer holidays at the seaside. There are no high mountains, long rivers, or big forests in England.

There are many towns in England, and they are not far from each other. The countryside between them looks like a colorful carpet. In spring and summer, the fields and gardens are full of green, red, blue, yellow, and white colors. In autumn, the leaves on the trees turn yellow, brown, and red.

In the green fields you can see many cows and sheep. There are many farms with animals in every part of England.

The English summer is not very hot, and the winter is not very cold. Spring and autumn are cool. The wind blows in winter, and sometimes it rains a lot. There is not much snow in England.

Spring and summer are very nice seasons because the sun often shines. The fields and forests are green, and there are many beautiful flowers everywhere.

Autumn is also a good season. It is the time of harvest and apples.

Winter has some sunny days too, but children like summer best, because they have holidays and can go to the seaside or play outside in the green fields.
