Asking for Forgiveness

Kate: Hi, Tom. Can I talk to you for a moment?
Tom: Sure, Kate. What do you want to talk about?
Kate: I want to say sorry for yesterday. I was late to our meeting, and I know it was not nice.
Tom: Oh, that's okay. I understand. But why were you late?
Kate: I missed the bus, and the next bus was very late. I tried to call you, but my phone had no battery.
Tom: I see. Thank you for saying sorry. That's important to me.
Kate: I felt really bad about it. I promise it won't happen again.
Tom: Don't worry. We all make mistakes. Just send me a message next time if you have a problem.
Kate: I will. Thank you for being so kind.
Tom: Of course. We are friends. Is everything else okay?
Kate: Yes, everything is fine now. I was worried that you were angry with me.
Tom: No, I'm not angry. I'm happy you came to talk to me.
Kate: Me too. Thanks again, Tom. You are a great friend.
Tom: You're welcome, Kate. Let's have a coffee later, okay?
Kate: That sounds perfect. See you later.
Tom: See you.
