Hilda Boden, born Hilda Morris Bodenham on September 17, 1901, in Staffordshire, England, was a British writer of children's books. She was the daughter of a master tinsmith and received her education at King Edward’s School in Birmingham.

In 1922, she married Robert Bodenham, and they had three children. The family moved to Buckingham when Robert became the headmaster of a local secondary school. Due to financial difficulties, Hilda began writing books to support her family.

She wrote over 30 books, including the Noel series, the Marlow series, and at least nine pony books. Her stories often featured animals and adventures, capturing the imaginations of young readers.
