Summer Holidays

Tiempo de lectura: ≈ 3 min

On the first day of school in September, there is much talk about the summer holidays. All the pupils ask each other, “Where did you go for your holidays?” or “Where did you spend your holidays?”

The answers are very different. You may hear, “We spent the summer in the countryside,” or “I spent my holidays by the sea.” Other boys and girls talk about how they went swimming in the river every day, and all your friends are happy to speak about their wonderful holidays again and again.

Life at a camp is another story that is always interesting to hear. When you come back from camp, you can tell not only about what you did there but also about your new friends. Almost every boy or girl has a new friend from another school, sometimes even from another town.

Some pupils stay at home during the school holidays. But they always say that the holidays go too quickly, and they have little time to do all the things they want.

At the end of August, after the holidays, all boys and girls are happy to go back to school. When they arrive, their teachers ask them many questions and say, “You are very big now!”
