My Yesterday

Sam: Hi, Lily. What did you do yesterday?

Lily: Hi, Sam. I helped my mom in the kitchen.

Sam: Oh. What did you cook?

Lily: We made soup and a cake. It was fun.

Sam: Wow. I love cake. Did you do anything else?

Lily: Yes. In the evening I read a book. And you, Sam?

Sam: I helped my little brother with his homework.

Lily: Oh. That is very nice. How old is your brother?

Sam: He is seven. He has a lot of homework.

Lily: Ha. And did you play yesterday?

Sam: Yes. After homework we played football in the yard.

Lily: Great. I played with my cat at home.

Sam: Ha. That is funny. Was it a good day?

Lily: Yes. It was a very good day. And your day?

Sam: It was good, too. I like to help my brother.
