Talking About Work Experience

Lily: Hi, Ben. Did you have a good day at work?
Ben: Hi, Lily. Yes, it was busy but good. I'm learning a lot at my new job.
Lily: That's great. What kind of work do you do?
Ben: I work in a cafe. I serve coffee and clean tables. It's not easy, but it's fun.
Lily: That sounds interesting. Do you think working is important for young people?
Ben: Yes, I do. You learn new things and meet new people. What about you?
Lily: I agree. I worked in a shop last summer. I learned how to talk to customers and work with money.
Ben: That's good. Did you like working in the shop?
Lily: Yes, I did. It was hard sometimes, but I enjoyed it. Do you think work helps you find a better job in the future?
Ben: Yes, I think so. When you look for a job, it's good to have some experience. It shows you are a hard worker.
Lily: That's true. I think it also helps you understand what kind of job you want in the future.
Ben: Yes, I agree. For example, I like working with people, so maybe I'll work in a restaurant or hotel.
Lily: That's a good idea. Well, good luck with your job, Ben.
Ben: Thanks, Lily. Good luck to you, too. See you later.
Lily: See you, Ben.
