A Conversation About Holidays

Anna: Hi, Tom. How are you?
Tom: Hi, Anna. I'm good, thanks. How about you?
Anna: I'm fine, too. Do you like holidays?
Tom: Yes, I love holidays. My favorite holiday is Christmas. What about you?
Anna: I like Christmas, too, but my favorite holiday is New Year's Eve. Do you celebrate Christmas with your family?
Tom: Yes, we have a big dinner and give gifts to each other. What about you?
Anna: We also have a big dinner and watch fireworks at midnight. Do you make your house beautiful for Christmas?
Tom: Yes, we put a Christmas tree in the living room and hang lights. What about you?
Anna: We make our house beautiful, too. We also have a special cake for New Year's Eve. Do you have any special traditions?
Tom: Yes, we sing Christmas songs and go to church. What about you?
Anna: At New Year, we make a list of good things we want to do next year. Do you think holidays are important?
Tom: Yes, I think they are important because families and friends spend time together. What do you think?
Anna: I agree. Holidays are a time to relax and enjoy with family and friends. Thanks for the conversation, Tom. See you later.
Tom: See you, Anna.
