There are Five English Children

There are five English children: two girls and three boys. They are great friends and all of them live not far from London. As you know, London is a very big city. It is the biggest city in England.
The names of these children are: Sam and Lily Christines (a brother and a sister), Jimmy and Polly Dale (also a brother and a sister), Hugh Jackson, — five in all.
Mr. Christine is a doctor. He has no wife, so Sam and Lily are orphans. But Mr. Christine has a sister, Miss Jane, so the children have an aunt. As Lily is very little and has no mother, Aunt Jane takes care of her, but she does not live with the Christines. She has her own little house and lives there all alone.
Mr. Thomas Dale is a taxi-driver. He has a wife, Mrs. Thomas Dale; so Jimmy and Polly have both parents. Mr. Dale has a brother who lives in America, so Jimmy and Polly have an uncle.
Mr. Jackson is a butcher. He has a wife. His wife is Mrs. George Jackson. The butcher has a shop and a big orchard. He has a house as well. Hugh is his only son.
