My dear Giulia,
I must thank you for your letter. It was about your English Club. It was very interesting. I was very glad to know that you like English literature. I am happy.
I am going to look for a book. I want to send this book to you. It is Alice in Wonderland. It is by Lewis Carroll. It is not a new book. It was written in 1865. So it is more than a hundred years old. But it is a great favorite. Many children like it. I hope I shall find this book. Then I shall send it to you. It will be a present from me.
I am working much at school. I have a lot of work. The weather is cold here. It is winter. But I have an idea. I think it is colder in Italy. I think you have thick snow on the ground. The snow is white and deep.
Please write soon. I want to get your letter.
Yours,
Mary Smith
