Kaspar Hauser Could See the Stars in the Day-Time

Kaspar Hauser was a very strange young man who suddenly appeared in the city of Nuremberg, Germany, in 1828. Nobody knew who he was or where he came from. People said that his eyes were very special, and that he could even see stars during the day. This story was never proved, but it made many people curious about him.
When Kaspar was found, he could not walk or talk very well. He had a note in his hand that said he had lived all his life in a dark room. He told people that he saw no one except a man who sometimes brought him food and water. Because of this, Kaspar behaved like a small child, even though he was about sixteen or seventeen years old.
As he learned to speak, he said that he did not know his real name or his parents. Soon, people began to think that he might be from a royal family in Germany and that someone had kept him locked away for many years. Others did not believe this and thought that he made up the story himself.
Kaspar became very famous. Many people wanted to help him and find out the truth about his life. He went to live with different families who tried to teach him and take care of him.
In 1833, something terrible happened. Kaspar was found with a knife wound and died a few days later. Before his death, he said that a stranger had attacked him, but nobody ever found out who did it. His death made his story even more mysterious.
Even today, nobody knows who Kaspar Hauser really was — a poor boy who had a sad life, or a lost child from a royal family. His story is still one of the biggest mysteries in history.
