Talking About Friends and Relationships

Anna: Hi Mike, how are you?
Mike: Hi, Anna. I'm good, thanks. How about you?
Anna: I'm fine too. So, how is your friend Sarah? I didn't see her for a long time.
Mike: She is fine. She started a new job last month and she is very happy.
Anna: That's great. You and Sarah are friends for a long time, right?
Mike: Yes, we are friends since school. She is like a sister to me.
Anna: That's nice. It's important to have good friends. Do you see her often?
Mike: Not very often because we are both busy, but we call each other every week.
Anna: That's good. Good friends are important, even when you are busy.
Mike: True. What about you? Do you have close friends?
Anna: Yes, my best friend is Emily. We are friends for five years. She always helps me.
Mike: That's wonderful. What do you like about her?
Anna: She is very kind and funny. We always have a good time together.
Mike: That's what friends are for. Do you ever argue?
Anna: Sometimes, but we always say sorry quickly. It's normal, I think.
Mike: Yes, that's true. By the way, do you have a boyfriend?
Anna: No, not now. I work a lot and I spend time with my friends. What about you?
Mike: Same here. I think it's important to feel good about yourself first.
Anna: I agree. Well, it was nice talking to you, Mike.
Mike: You too, Anna. Let's talk again soon.
Anna: Sure. See you later.
