Talking About Different Cultures

Anna: Hi, Tom! Have you ever visited a country with a different culture?

Tom: Hi, Anna! Yes, I visited Japan last year. It was very interesting. What about you?

Anna: I went to India. The culture is very different from here. What did you like about Japan?

Tom: I liked the food, like sushi and ramen. I also liked the temples. They’re so beautiful. What about India?

Anna: I loved the food too, like curry and naan. The festivals were amazing, with music and dancing.

Tom: That sounds fun. Was it difficult to adapt to the culture?

Anna: A little. The language was hard, but people were very friendly. What about you? Did you have any problems in Japan?

Tom: Yes, I didn’t know how to use chopsticks at first. But I learned quickly. I also had to bow when greeting people.

Anna: That’s interesting. I think experiencing different cultures is a great way to learn about the world.
