Lisa: Hi, John. Can we talk about something?

John: Sure, Lisa. What's wrong?

Lisa: I was a bit upset yesterday when you canceled our plans at the last minute.

John: Oh, I'm really sorry about that. I had an emergency at work and couldn't leave.

Lisa: I understand, but you could have called or texted me. I waited for an hour.

John: You're right. I should have let you know. I was so stressed that I completely forgot. I apologize.

Lisa: It's okay. I just felt a bit ignored. I know you're busy, but a quick message would have helped.

John: I promise it won't happen again. Next time, I'll make sure to inform you if something comes up.

Lisa: Thank you. I appreciate that. I don't want this to affect our friendship.

John: Me neither. You're an important friend to me, and I don't want to upset you.

Lisa: I feel the same way. Let's just move past this and plan something fun for the weekend.

John: That sounds great! How about we go to that new café you wanted to try?

Lisa: Perfect! I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for understanding, John.

John: Thank you for being honest with me, Lisa. I'm glad we talked about this.

Lisa: Me too. See you on the weekend!

John: See you then!
