Asking for Forgiveness

Kate: Hi, Tom. Can I talk to you for a moment?

Tom: Sure, Kate. What's on your mind?

Kate: I want to say sorry for yesterday. I was late to our meeting, and I know it was rude.

Tom: Oh, that's okay. I understand that things happen. But why were you late?

Kate: I missed the bus, and the next one was delayed. I tried to call you, but my phone died.

Tom: I see. Well, I appreciate you apologizing. It means a lot.

Kate: I felt really bad about it. I promise it won't happen again.

Tom: Don't worry too much. We all make mistakes. Just let me know next time if something comes up.

Kate: I will. Thank you for being so understanding.

Tom: Of course. We're friends, after all. Is everything else okay?

Kate: Yes, everything's fine now. I was just worried you might be upset with me.

Tom: Not at all. I'm glad you came to talk to me about it.

Kate: Me too. Thanks again, Tom. You're a great friend.

Tom: You're welcome, Kate. Let's grab a coffee later, okay?

Kate: That sounds perfect. See you later!
