Sultan Muhammad Ibn Daud ruled Iran in the eleventh century. During his reign, he conquered a large territory and gathered great wealth. He died in 1072. After his death, many legends about his life and death were created. One of these legends said that he would soon rise from his tomb, mount his horse, and lead his soldiers to new conquests and glory. This belief was so strong that for about nine centuries a horse was kept ready near his tomb, waiting for the sultan to rise from the dead.
It seems impossible, doesn’t it?
