Kite-Flying

Kite flying is a very old hobby in England. Many years ago, people in London liked to fly kites. Nowadays, men and women, boys and girls go to the park to fly their kites in the sky. The kites are of many colors and shapes. Some kites are square, others have three corners. Some look like boxes, and some look like balls or flowers.

Many people make their own kites at home. They use paper, sticks, and bright ribbons to make them beautiful. Some people buy their kites in shops. When the wind blows, the kites go high up into the blue sky. In some countries, kite flying is even a sport, and people have kite-flying competitions. It is fun to see so many colorful kites dancing in the air!
