My Busy Dad

We are a family of four: Father, Mother, sister, and I. Our father is usually very busy. He doesn’t have time to play with us. When we ask him to play with us, he usually says, “I’m sorry I can’t. I’m very busy...” Or, “Ask your mother to play with you...” Or, “Go and play with your friends...”

It’s nine o’clock in the evening. It’s time to go to bed. I open my father’s room and say, “Excuse me, Dad...”

“Close the door. Can’t you see I am busy? Go and play with your sister or with your friends.”

“Oh, Dad, I want to say good-night to you.”

“Can’t you say it to me in the morning? I am busy now.”
